Body Sugaring Charleston - About Your Sugarist
About me, because you might be nervous...

I understand how much anxiety a new client might have before their first appointment,
so here's a little information about me.

My name is Summer Jones Garrett. I have been sugaring since 2006, and have been Body Sugaring Charleston since 2012. I specialize in the hand sugaring technique, and that is the only service my business offers.

I graduated from The College of Charleston in 1999, with a degree in Arts Management and I completed and earned my Esthetics license from The Academy of Cosmetology, also in Charleston, in 2006.

I am originally from Florence, South Carolina. Since graduating college, I have lived in Breckenridge, Colorado and Jackson, Wyoming. I enjoy traveling adventures, photography and attending live music events as much as possible, I like talking politics, but I am most importantly a mother of a teenage boy. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat and I could tell you crazy life stories all day long, if I needed to. I'm generally pretty chatty with my clients and have formed years long friendships with many of them. Talking generally makes the sugaring service go faster, because it takes your mind off of the experience.

Prior to opening Body Sugaring Charleston, my work experiences involved Event Planning, House Management for large private estates and various culinary positions. I've always had an entrepreneurial state of mind, and have fortunately created that reality for myself.

I have sugared 1000's of clients over the years, and am qualified and capable of sugaring any type of hair (except men's facial hair or your scalp!!). Charleston is an ever growing city and there will never be a shortage of women looking to remove hair in specific areas. I average approximately 30-50 clients per week, so please don't feel like you need to be modest during your appointment.

I've seen it all, and if it made me uncomfortable, I would not continue to provide my sugaring services. The best advice I was ever given regarding my approach to bedside manner is, "as soon as you make it not weird, it's not weird, anymore."  That's pretty much my approach to all clients, because I understand the anxiety that is involved when exposing yourself, to (basically) a stranger that will be ripping hair from your body! That's scary stuff!  I'm here to help you, as fast and as painlessly as possible.

I'm not a big fan of talking on the phone, though, so I prefer that we communicate mostly through text, unless you have questions that would require extensive explanation.  The best way to schedule is through my scheduling website.
